We are pleased to be the only 5K run affiliated with “Team In Training”(TNT). Perhaps you too will be inspired to join TNT after participating in our event.
“Team In Training” (TNT) is the largest marathon, century, and triathlon training program in the world.
Participants receive coaching and training to successfully walk or run a marathon (26.2 miles), cycle a century ride (100 miles), or compete in an Olympic Distance Triathlon (1 mile swim, 25 mile bike, 6.2 mile run). Team members reaching their fundraising goal participate in both national and international marathons, century bike rides and triathlons. Each TNT participant competes in tribute to a local leukemia patient, called an Honored Patient. TNT competitors often claim that their Honored Patients provide them with the inspiration and motivation needed to finish a race. Racing in a patient’s honor helps participants realize the importance of the mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society: to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and Myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
